- The direct purpose of the contract is to catch aquatic animals (fish and crustaceans/molluscs), measure them and, on this basis, classify the status or ecological potential of surface water bodies, in accordance with the methodologies described in the "Handbook for monitoringbiological tests and classification of the ecological status of surface waters. Update of methods" CIEP 2020 and performance of analytical tests of priority substances as part of biota monitoring in rivers and lakes, in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2013/39/EU for the needs of the assessment of chemical statusof surface water bodies. This will make it possible to provide data on the status or ecological potential of ichthyofauna and on the concentrations of selected priority substances in aquatic fauna and flora, for national and international purposes, which include the assessment of meeting environmental protection objectiveswater bodies, reporting to national and pan-European institutions.
